Classic Cheesy Broccoli & Rice Casserole


  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar Cheez Whiz
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli*
  1. Add milk, soup and Cheez Whiz to cooked rice. 
  2. Saute onions and celery in margarine.
  3. Thaw broccoli and add to other ingredients.
  4. Put mixture in baking dish and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.

*Update 12/21: I now use a 12 ounce bag of frozen broccoli cuts and cut the bigger pieces into smaller ones.
