2 tablespoons cornstarch
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¾ cup water
Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Add water and stir until well combined.
Heat oil to between 360 and 375 degrees.
Dip fish or chicken in batter to coat completely.
Deep fry in oil until golden brown on both sides.
